From April 28 to 30, 2026, Tashkent hosted the International "Engineers of the Future" Festival, an initiative launched by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The large-scale event brought together approximately 14,000 young scientists, developers, and future robotics and programming engineers from the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states and beyond, serving as a premier youth hub for innovation and scientific collaboration.

The Republic of Belarus was represented by nine young innovators, including Viktoriya Khoder, an assistant lecturer in the Mechanics and Engineering Department at Belarusian State Technological University (BSTU).

During the Exhibition of the International Innovation and Start-Up Contest – one of the festival's centerpiece events – Viktoriya pitched her research on photopolymer waste-filled resins. The expert jury highly rated her presentation, anchoring the project in the top five finalists with a fourth-place overall finish.

The Belarusian delegation also engaged in thematic olympiads and panel discussions focused on building a unified SCO science and technology area and commercializing university start-ups. Notably, the Belarusian team secured first place in two of the nine thematic olympiads: robotics engineering and robot control.

Ultimately, participation in the festival bolstered the university’s academic reputation, expanded its international network, and successfully validated the research outcomes of its young scientists on the global stage.
