On April 22, 2023, BSTU international students from China, Myanmar, Australia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan went to the city of Brest for some cultural experience.
The excursion kicked off with the visit to the Brest Hero Fortress Memorial which is considered to the top tourist attraction of the city. The remarkable 4km2 area is one of the most iconic locations of Belarus which has come through the two world wars. During the excursion the students could dive into the history of the place and feel the dimension of its tragedy and grief.
On the eve of its 1000th anniversary the city of Brest lures its visitors by its cosy streets, authentic atmosphere of its old town, picturesque pedestrian walkways, street musicians, lively street art performances.
The students walked along the famous Lights Alley on the site of Gogol street where each lantern is an art object. They also did not miss the Berestie archaeological Museum: the remains of an ancient settlement, from which the construction of the hero city of Brest began.
