Ihar Voitau, Rector of Belarusian State Technological University is to attend XV Congress of the Eurasian Universities Association (EAU) on March 2, 2023 and the Forum of the Eurasian Network University on March 3, 2023.

On March 2, 2023, Moscow State Lomonosov University is to host XV Congress of the Eurasian Universities Association. The EAU was established in 1989 and today is a reputable international organization of universities which includes over 140 national universities of the whole Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), leading regional universities and higher educational institutions of the Eurasian region. The President of the Eurasian Universities Association is Victor Sadovnichiy, Academician, Rector of Moscow State Lomonosov University.

The Congress will bring together rectors of the member universities of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tadzhikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and other countries. The Congress agenda will cover issues of academic and scientific cooperation with other inter-university associations in Eurasia as well as with leading national universities of Vietnam, India, Indonesia, Jordan, Iran, China, Mongolia, Oman, Serbia, Syria, Montenegro, etc.

The Congress delegates will define future lines of the EAU development in the contemporary context and draw up an action plan aimed to expand and deepen collaboration between the universities in Eurasia. A number of universities will be admitted to the EAU as new members.

The Congress delegates will also exchange their experience of outreach initiatives in working with talented school children, developing new teaching methodologies and joint project implementation. Creation of a Commonwealth of Eurasian Universities and Innovative Schools will be brought to the Congress Agenda.

The Congress will adopt a number of far-reaching resolutions that will assist the member universities in tackling the global challenges of today and tomorrow, promoting the strategic partnerships, fostering competitive capacity of their educational programs and research activities and transforming them into globally renowned universities of XXI century.    

On March 3, 2023, Moscow State Lomonosov University will become the venue of the Forum of the Eurasian Network University. The Memorandum of Understanding on the Establishment of the Eurasian Network University was signed on May 25 by the rectors of the leading universities of the EAEU countries. The goal of the ENU is the gradual formation of a barrier-free environment in the field of education. It is expected that the ENU will train skilled personnel using distance learning technologies, organize research and development activities, enhance the personal growth of young people in the spirit of the Eurasian integration values and other focus areas.

The Forum will focus on prospective development lines and future activities of the ENU, in particular, implementation of joint educational programs in a network form, creating a quality mark for the network programs, humanitarian projects, partnership of governmental bodies, business and universities, etc.
