MINSK, September 2, 2026 – Belarusian State Technological University (BSTU) welcomed a delegation from the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Belarus, led by H.E. Nuriddin Mamazhonov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary. The Ambassador was accompanied by Counsellor Alisher Babaev.

The distinguished guests were welcomed by BSTU Rector Serhei Kasperovich, alongside Andrei Hauryliuk (Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs) and Olga Rogova (Head of the International Relations Office).

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and future prospects of academic and research cooperation between BSTU and various universities and research institutions in Uzbekistan.

The productive dialogue focused on several strategic areas of mutual interest, in particular, academic mobility of students and faculty members; collaborative scientific initiatives and research projects; educating of highly qualified professionls tailored to the needs of the Uzbek economy; advanced training for industry professionals; creating programs aimed at sharing best practices and industrial expertise; vocational training of Uzbek students at BSTU-affiliated colleges to build practical, hands-on skills.

The meeting concluded on a high note, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to taking BSTU-Uzbekistan relations to a higher level. By combining strong technological foundation of BSTU with dynamic educational goals of Uzbekistan, this strengthened partnership aims to drive innovation and cultivate top-tier professional talent for both nations.
