On July 7, 2026, Belarusian State Technological University (BSTU) officially opened its summer school program for students of the Joint Institute run collaboratively by BSTU and Dalian Polytechnic University (China). The international guests were warmly welcomed by Andrei Hauryliuk, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, and Olga Rogova, Head of International Relations Office.

The 11-day summer school promises a dynamic and immersive schedule. Over the course of the program, participants will dive into Belarusian culture and traditions, tour BSTU advanced facilities and take part in interactive workshops and exciting excursions.

On their very first day, the Chinese students explored several of BSTU academic highlights:

• University Museum and the exhibition of research developments

• Department of Automation of Production Processes and Electrical Engineering

• Department of Machines and Apparatus of Chemical and Silicate Productions

• Information Technology Faculty.

The program also features highly engaging, practical sessions designed to bridge theory and real-world application:

* • 3D Modeling Workshop Students learned to build 3D models and master digital tools, effectively turning their creative concepts into "digital reality."

* • IT in Forestry Workshop Participants discovered how high technology is used to monitor forests, plan timber harvesting, analyze forest inventory data, and make resource management more sustainable.

These hands-on sessions focus heavily on building applied skills, giving students a valuable head start and deep insight into their future professional careers.

This summer school highlights the strengthening academic bonds and vibrant cultural exchange between BSTU and Dalian Polytechnic University. By combining rigorous technical training with cultural immersion, the initiative not only broadens the students' global perspectives but also reinforces both universities commitment to fostering international talent.
