Belarusian State Technological University (BSTU) continues to expand its international partner network, aligning with the state strategy to strengthen collaborative ties with African nations.

On July 30, 2026, BSTU hosted a working meeting with a delegation from the Embassy of the Republic of Zimbabwe to the Republic of Belarus. The delegation was led by Ignatius Graham Mudzimba, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, who was accompanied by Counsellor Kanisio Tanyayiwa.

The BSTU delegation was led by Rector Serhei Kasperovich, alongside Andrei Hauryliuk (Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs) and Elena Yanukovich (Head of the Double-Degree Programs Office).

During the meeting, Rector Kasperovich briefed the distinguished guests on the university educational programs, latest research developments, and internationalization strategy. He highlighted BSTU extensive capacity for building sustainable, long-term strategic partnerships.

"Our university possesses outstanding human resources and research assets, maintaining a flexible and dynamic approach on the international stage," Kasperovich stated. "We have rich experience cooperating with foreign universities and training highly qualified professionals for global labor markets. We see great prospects for scientific collaboration with African universities and centers of excellence, and we are ready to build durable, mutually beneficial partnerships.

BSTU already has a successful track record of training students from Zimbabwe and plans to welcome an increased enrollment for the upcoming academic year.

Concluding the visit, the Zimbabwean delegation expressed strong interest in boosting existing partnerships and exploring new avenues of cooperation—particularly in the fields of environmental engineering and forestry.

The meeting concluded with both parties expressing confidence that this visit would serve as a powerful catalyst for deepening academic and scientific ties.
