BSTU delegation head by Rector Ihar Voitau takes part in the international conference “Engineers of Russia and Belarus: Power of Cooperation” hosted by Northern (Arctic) Federal University named after M.V. Lomonosov (Arkhangelsk, Russia) on October 15-16, 2024.
Belarusian State Technological University is a co-organizer of the event which intends to discuss present-day challenges of training professionals for national economies of the two countries. It also focuses on other pressing issues such as creation of enabling environment and boosting motivation of young generation to become engineers and get involved in research projects. The conference will look at the engagement of industrial partners and fostering of mutually beneficial contacts between universities and businesses in Russia and Belarus.
Remarkably, the event is held in the year of the 10th anniversary of cooperation between BSTU and NArFU. To celebrate this, at the plenary session BSTU Rector Ihar Voitau was awarded the title of Doctor Honoris Causa of Northern (Arctic) Federal University.
Prior to the conference opening the BSTU delegation had a chance to visit the Shared Research Facility “Arctic” of the NArFU Directorate of Innovative Development, Innovation and Technology Centre “Modern Technology of Bioresources Processing of the North”, IT Park “Digital Arctic”. During a round table event the parties discussed further cooperation prospects and joint project proposals.
