International universal exhibition “Tajikistan-2024” was held in Dushanbe from October 24 to October 26, 2024. The Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus presented its collective stand at the event.
The ministerial delegation was headed by Mikhail Dyadenko, Head of BSTU Research Department who brought to the attention of the following attending officials the exhibits on display:
- Viktor Denisenko, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Tajikistan;
- Djumakhonzod Djamshed Djurakhon, Chairman of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of the Republic of Tajikistan;
- Solekhzod Ashurboy Abduvokhid, First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Mikhail Dyadenko outlined main goals and development prospects of Belarusian State Technological University and ensured the support of the above mentioned officials who agreed to promote educational and scientific cooperation of the University with higher schools of Tajikistan.
Mikhail Dyadenko had a series of meetings and negotiations with educational institutions of Dushanbe where he touched upon multiple forms of cooperation that can be implemented. Those included joint publications, participation in international events (conferences, forums, symposia) hosted by both parties, joint research projects, trainings and internships of students and academic staff members, sharing best practices, double-degree programs and many more.
The following Tajik universities showed a keen interest in cooperating with BSTU:
- Tajik National University;
- Tajik State University of Commerce;
- International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan;
- State Institute of Fine Arts and Design of Tajikistan.
BSTU displayed the following research development at the collective stand of the Ministry of Education:
- bioresorbable composite coatings for polylactide-incapsulated halloysite magnesium alloy based tubes;
- BIO-WOOD preservatives;
- calcium-phosphate 3D-printed ceramic goods;
- ceramic tiles with antibacterial coating;
- composite electrochemical tin-nickel titanium dioxide alloy coating with antibacterial properties;
- new NPKS fertilizers;
- insulated boards from cotton waste;
- optical fibre glass;
- heat-resistant ceramic materials for heating units;
- technology for production and application of artificial phosphogypsum stone for cement production.
