On December 6, Belarusian State Technological University and Sakhalin State University (SSU) held a video conference and a round table event arranged to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the Union State of Belarus and Russia.
From BSTU side, the event was coordinated by Dmitriy Gapanyuk, Vice-Rector for Ideological Work and Student Life, Nikolay Gundilovich, Director of the Institute for Professional Development and Retraining and activists of Belarusian National Youth Union. It was also supported by representatives of Armosoft LLC, resident company of Belarusian High-Tech Park.
The Russian party was presented by Alexander Samardak, Rector of Sakhalin State University, students and youth activists of SSU, representatives of the Ministry of Digital and Technological Development, the Ministry of Education and Innomatik LLC.
The participants discussed issues of technological security and independence of the Union State as well as applications of UAVs for the national industry and economy. Representatives of Armosoft LLC shared their best practices of using UAVs for educational purposes and made some valuable proposals for the training curriculum of UAVs professionals.
The parties agreed to further promote cooperation in the field of training UAV operation engineers by way of student and staff exchanges, joint educational projects, student start-up hubs, etc.
