An Agreement of Cooperation was signed by Ihar Voitau, Rector of Belarusian State Technological University and Luo Yi, Rector of Guandong Communication Polytechnic (P.R.C.). The Agreement outlines such forms of cooperation as double degree programs in the field of automation, materials science, IT, etc. and joint innovative projects addressing the current challenges of industry and economy.
The Chinese delegation was represented by its head, Luo Yi, Rector, XU Kaiyan, Head of Department of Cooperation with Educational Institutions and Enterprises, Li Xinhua, Director of School of Railway Transport, Chen Shaofeng, Director of Institute for Lifelong Learning, Wang Long, Director of School of Transport and Economic Management, Yu Mingyan, Director of School of Computer Science, Liang Chengfa, Deputy General Secretary of Guangdong Union of Science and Technology Cooperation with CIS countries.
The delegation was introduced to the most recent research developments of BSTU scholars, BSTU Museum of History and Education, computer classrooms, laboratories of the Department of Polymer Composite Materials.
The agenda also included a visit to the BSTU affiliated College of Building Materials Industry. The guests were given a comprehensive tour of laboratories, workshops and classrooms of the college. The parties held talks covering such issues as training of highly qualified professionals, development of joint curricula, academic exchange, etc. The Chinese professors delivered a round of lectures to college students.
