April 18, 2018 Belarusian State Technological University was visited by the delegation of the Embassy of Sweden in the Republic of Belarus led by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Sweden in our country Mrs. Christina Juhannesson.
The rector of the university Ihar Voitau presented to the Ambassador of Sweden information about the history of the university, directions of training specialists. Also at the meeting were discussed the development of joint programs in English with the provision of a double diploma, academic exchange of students and teachers, and several others.
At a meeting from BSTU there were:
- First Vice-Rector Aliaksandr Tsyhanau, who is responsible for international cooperation at the university, incl. for cooperation with Sweden;
- vice-rector for scientific work Oleg Dormeshkin;
- Head of International Cooperation Olga Rogova;
- Head of the department for work with foreign citizens Elena Yanukovich;
- Head of the Department of Chemistry, Electrochemical Production Technologies and Materials of Electronic Technique Alexander Chernik;
- Head of the Department of Physical, Colloid and Analytical Chemistry Irina Kurilo;
- Assistant Professor of the Department of Machines and Apparatus for Chemical and Silicate Production Dmitry Misyulya;
The rector noted that the university is currently cooperating with various organizations in Sweden: the Swedish Forest Institute, Linköping University, the Royal Technological University, the University of Halmstad and the Gävle University of Technology.
Ms. Juhannesson noted that cooperation with BSTU is of undoubted interest for Sweden and assured that the Embassy will render all possible assistance in its development.
