BSTU is expanding cooperation with the University of Life Science
On October 5, within the framework of the International Water Forum, BSTU Rector Ihar Voitau and Professor of the Norwegian University of Life Science Kharsha Ratnaveer signed an agreement on cooperation between the BSTU and Norwegian University of Life Science.
BSTU and the Norwegian University of Life Science have been cooperating for more than seven years in the framework of the project "Water Harmony". The universities of Tajikistan, Ukraine, Belarus and Norway cooperate in this project. Annually, under the grants of this project from BSTU for a summer internship in the Norwegian universities are three students.
Ihar Voitau, in an interview with Harsha Ratnaveira, expressed interest in cooperation with the Norwegian side on the development of environmental projects, including the purification of industrial wastewater and the use of geothermal sources.
Harsha Ratnaveera spoke at the plenary session of the forum with the report "Negative impact of climate change on water supply and water treatment and its possible solutions" (the text of the speech can be found in the proceedings of the Forum).
