BSTU concluded cooperation agreements with Romanian universities

On September 22, 2017, cooperation agreements were signed between the Belarusian State Technological University and the Lucia Blaga University of Sibiu and the University of Transylvania in Brasov, Romania.

  

The Lucian Blaga University is a large university. It trains more than 24 thousand students, including foreign students, at 10 faculties. At the University of Transylvania, more than 19,000 students study at 18 faculties, of which 9 are technical. The university offers 107 baccalaureate specialties. In addition, the University includes the Research Institute, the Office for Intellectual Property, a technology and business incubator.

  

Within the framework of the signed agreements, academic exchanges of students and teachers, participation in international programs, training in the system of double diplomas, joint research projects, as well as training of foreign students are envisaged. Rectors of Romanian universities were presented with a number of educational classes on forestry specialties, as well as petrochemicals and biotechnologies. The guests highly appreciated the equipment of the training laboratories.

  

As the first steps to develop cooperation, the Romanian side invited to visit universities in November - December of this year to familiarize and develop a cooperation program. Rector of BSTU Ihar Voitau accepted the invitation and expressed his readiness to participate actively in the development of interuniversity cooperation.
